(Dry Brush filtered) Cardinal

I really wanted this cardinal image to turn out better than it did. (I really wanted to get a better picture of the cardinal than I did, but I was fairly lucky to manage this shot before it disappeared in the tree.)

The picture really got interesting, though, as I passed it through the Graphic Novel filter:

Then I liked the image better. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

American Robin (Dry Brush, Graphic Novel filters)

Four different processed versions of the same robin image. The top two have a greener tint to them, while the last one has had the green tint edited out. (The greener version is perhaps truer to the original image, while the less green version is probably truer to the real color of the robin - although a little paler, due to the layering process.) Thanks for stopping by!

Red-bellied Woodpecker II (Dry Brush filter)

I got a little bit better angle on the woodpecker in this image, but I still don't see its red belly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Red-bellied Woodpecker (Graphic Novel filter)

I have trouble seeing how this bird is named the "red-bellied" woodpecker, since its belly looks white to me. (Maybe it's because I can't see its belly in this picture?) Thanks for stopping by!

Chipping Sparrow on the Deck (Dry Brush, Graphic Novel filters)

What the Chipping Sparrow was looking at over the side of the deck, I'm not sure. However, it didn't take long for the little bird to fly away. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Female House Finch Picking Up Seeds

This female house finch was picking through the seeds in the grass that had fallen from the feeder above. When birds come to the feeder, they tend to be somewhat selective about the seeds that they will take, often picking up seeds and tossing them over the side of the ring to the grass below. Well, somebody comes along and gets the discarded seeds (other than the squirrels!) Thanks for stopping by! :)

House Finch in the Grass (Graphic Novel, Dry Brush filters)

For today, I have a string of male house finch images. I tried various edits of Graphic Novel, Dry Brush, and even Graphic Novel plus Dry Brush. The uploader uploaded the images according via alphabetical order, as opposed to a logical progression of least to most edited. The first is the Dry Brushed image. The second is the least edited original. The third is the BW Graphic Novel version. The fourth is the Graphic Novel with color layered in. The fifth is the color Graphic Novel with the Dry Brush filter applied. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

(For me, I guess it's a toss up between the least edited original and the Dry Brush version. I like the bold colors in the image, although it does have its faults with the streaky lines.)
