Finch on a Wire (Graphic Novel filter)

The first image is the Graphic Novel image for the day. The last two show you the kind of picture I was working from, first is the HDR version that shows the color of the bird, and second is the originalish image. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Female Finch (Graphic Novel filter) (redo)

This is another second attempt on an image that I had edited in the past. Previously, I had used the Dry Brush filter. Here, I used the Graphic Novel filter. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Another Pose from Yesterday's Finch (Graphic Novel filter) (Redo)

Here is another pose from... well, you know.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Female Finch (Redo)(Graphic Novel filter)

Here is what I did the last time I edited this image. I worked with Photoshop Elements' Dry Brush filter.

This time...

I cropped the image in Aurora HDR (above).

I processed a separate HDR image, which I used in Photoshop Elements with the Graphic Novel filter.

Finally, I layered together the original color and the graphic novel filter. And that's my photo redo!

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

House Finch (Graphic Novel filter)

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

I Think It's a Finch (Graphic Novel filter)

House Finch (Graphic Novel filter)

I ran my house finch photo through the Graphic Novel filter three times:

One Pass

At this stage, the image is still very realistic, though it does have some element of the "graphic novel" to it.

Two Passes

The image starts to pass from reality here into something more of a drawing.

Three Passes

The image has passed into abstraction, maybe appearing like something along the lines of a stained glass window.

Finches on the Jelly Feeder (Graphic Novel filter redo)

Here is my Graphic Novel filter redo of an earlier image (posted second below). I like how I was able to brighten the image up, and also how the filter was able to better define the lines in the image. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

(Male House) Finch (AuroraHDR, Graphic Novel filter)

Here's another finch, I believe a house finch - a male this time, with the blue/purple fringing in the color image, which is nicely absent in the BW version. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Finch on the Evergreen (AuroraHDR, Graphic Novel filter)

I believe this is a house finch, either a female or an immature male. Shooting into the sky, my camera picked up all of the dust spots, and I was able to erase some (most?) of them on the BW Graphic Novel filter. Also, you can sort of see a little bit of the blue/purple fringe on the color image that you sometimes get shooting something HDR with a sky background, which you don't really see at all in the BW image. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

"Red" Finch (Graphic Novel filter)

Once again, I like what the Graphic Novel filter does with smaller images. This red-colored finch was a little bit blurry sitting in the blurry branches (notice the theme, here). I tried to doctor this image up before, using the Dry Brush filter. I like how it turned out using the Graphic Novel filter. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Red Finch (AuroraHDR, Graphic Novel filter)

Little red finch at the bird feeder. Is it a purple finch? A male house finch?

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)
