When working with a very small image, the problem that I've found is that it doesn't translate very well through the stamp filter. (You can still make out what it's supposed to be in the second image below.) So, I did my other favorite thing and used the dry brush filter. It was nice to have a female cardinal stop by; they're one of my favorite birds to see.
