A few days ago (when we had a lot more snow on the ground,) I saw this squirrel in my backyard digging in the snow. Actually, I saw this squirrel first on my deck, digging in the snow, so... I knew what it was doing. More than likely, it had some acorns buried out in that part of the yard. Squirrels must have an amazing sense of smell to be able to track down food under the snow.
