"Cowherd, at Water's Edge" by Camille Pissarro (Graphic Novel filter)

Over the past several days, I've been working my way through pieces by Camille Pissarro from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today, I'm posting one of my favorites: "Cowherd, at Water's Edge". For an experiment, I processed the image differently in AuroraHDR, and then I used the same Graphic Novel setting to process both of the images. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Watanabe Seitei - "Bird Catching Fish Among Reeds" (Graphic Novel filter)

There are several wonderful pieces by Watanabe Seitei at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, including this "Bird Catching Fish Among Reeds". I cropped the image and applied HDR effect, the Graphic Novel filter, and layered the color back into the BW edited image. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Ericstan, for John J. Herrick, Tarrytown, New York (Graphic Novel filter)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a collection of architectural images, such as the one below, by Alexander Jackson Davis. I cropped the image, applied an HDR effect, applied the Graphic Novel filter, and then layered color back into the BW image. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Thomas Fearnley "A View of Lower Rydal Falls, Cumbria" (Graphic Novel filter)

I came across this painting while browsing the online collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Thomas Fearnley had several paintings that I liked, but only a couple of them were available for download as "open access public domain". Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

The other butterfly from Jan van Kessel's "Insects, Butterflies, and a Dragonfly" (Graphic Novel filter)

For today's image, I processed the other butterfly from Jan van Kessel's "Insects, Butterflies, and a Dragonfly" (from the Metropolitan Museum of Art). I didn't bother trying to Google this one, though. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

from Jan van Kessel's "Insects, Butterflies, and a Dragonfly" (Graphic Novel filter)

I'm not sure exactly what kind of 'butterfly' this is from Jan van Kessel's "Insects, Butterflies, and a Dragonfly" (from the Metropolitan Museum of Art). Usually, I am able to search Google by image and get some kind of identification, but in this case, Google simply told me that the butterfly was from Jan van Kessel's "Insects, Butterflies, etc." Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Paul de Longpré "Roses and Lilacs" (Graphic Novel filter)

I really liked this painting by Paul de Longpré (from the Metropolitan Museum of Art), so I passed it through AuroraHDR and Adobe Photoshop Elements to see what I could do with it in the editing process. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

"Elephants by a Pool" by Antoine-Louis Barye (Graphic Novel filter)

I've long been a fan of elephants. I had a grandmother who collected elephant figurines. This piece from the Metropolitan Museum of Art seemed particularly dark, and so... I edited it. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

"Buffalo" after John James Audubon (Graphic Novel filter)

Audubon is famous for his animal pictures, particularly, I believe, his bird pictures. The Metropolitan Museum of Art had a few of his animal pictures, and the one that I decided to process for today's image is the buffalo. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

Jacques de Gheyn II "Study of a Saddled Horse" (Graphic Novel filter)

This picture took a little more work than I usually put into an image. The original file I was using came from The Metropolitan Museum of Art. There were a number of age spots, and one particularly bad spot (on the ropes) that I tried to take out with Paintshop Pro. I ended up spending a lot of time with the eraser over in Elements after I converted the image to a Graphic Novel filter. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)
