Trees and Brush HDR Comparison



The top image is the edited original, while the second image is the HDR. In this case, I actually prefer the original over the HDR. Where the HDR really brings out all of the trees and branches from the background, the original lets them all remain simply as background, not vying for attention in the image, but simply hanging out in the backdrop against which the image was taken. By bringing out the background, the HDR adds a sense of busyness to the image, whereas the original has a much calmer feeling to it. Sometimes HDR adds something; other times... it adds a little too much.
