Goldfinch, Puffed Up (Graphic Novel filter)

Flicker on the Feeder in the Rain (Graphic Novel filter)

I really like the color in the original of this series (the first,) but I really like the definition that comes through in the third image (Original Color + Graphic Novel filter). The flicker is a black and white bird, with just enough red thrown in to add some visual interest. (Notice I didn't crack a joke about what's black and white and red all....) Thanks for stopping by!

House Finch Feeding (Graphic Novel filter)

Of these three house finch at the feeder photos, I think my favorite is the third. While the first is the most colorful, it also has a little bit of noise in the image. While I generally always like the BW graphic novel images, I think I actually like the colorized (third image) the best of the three. Thanks for stopping by and for looking at my pictures! :)

Look Away, Mourning Dove (Graphic Novel filter)

I think this is one of those series of images where I like the BW Graphic Novel (second image) version the best. I like how the line of the filter is emphasized by the filter, which also carried over into the colorized version (third image). I also like the way that the color came out in the colorized version, even though it is somewhat muted as compared to the original (first image). Thanks for stopping by!

Wistful Mourning Dove (Graphic Novel filter)

There is something wistful looking about this mourning dove as it turns its head and looks over its shoulder. I like how blending the graphic novel filtered version (#2) into the regular color image (#1) produced a more defined image (#3) in the combination of the other two.
