Scarlet Tanager on the Jelly Bowl (AuroraHDR, Graphic Novel filter)

Of my three edits on the Scarlet Tanager on the Jelly Bowl below, I like the black and white Graphic Novel filter (4 images layered together) best, mostly, I think, because it removes the unsightly bowl of jelly that I had set out for the birds. (The first image is the AuroraHDR, the second is the BW Graphic Novel filter, and the third is the colorized graphic novel filter.) Thanks for stopping by and looking at my pictures! :)

The Graphic Novel image was one that I processed twice, in order to give the image an even more graphic novel-liness, because the first time wasn't graphic novel-ly enough. (It lacked something.) It's also, then, one of those images where it's really hard to find the goldfinch that is in the image, until you look at the colorized version, where it is fairly obvious. Chipping Sparrow in the Pine Tree (AuroraHDR, Graphic Novel filter)

The chipping sparrow in the pine tree branches was a tough one to process for HDR, because the blue/purple fringe tends to get pulled out in the HDR processing. I went with a "dreamy" filter in the AuroraHDR to lessen the effect. It's not seen at all in the BW Graphic Novel filter version on top (for obvious reasons,) and is minimized in the colorized version of that photo.
