Allen & Ginter "Clapper Rail" (Graphic Novel)

I'm not sure that today's photo has a "winner". I was trying to edit an Allen & Ginter bird image (a clapper rail) from the  Metropolitan Museum of Art website. I tried to smooth the image out from its original half-tone print (and remove the text,) but I think the best version of my edit was the black and white graphic novel version. Philips Galle "Damaio de Gois" (Graphic Novel filter)

Philips Galle made an engraving after a piece by Albrecht Dürer (which I found over at the  Metropolitan Museum of Art website.) de Gois, according to Wikipedia, was a humanist friend of Erasmus. The Lyon (Recumbent Lion by a Pool) (Graphic Novel filter)

This was just such a cool picture! I like the composition and the subject matter, with the lion resting by the water, looking at something that has caught its attention outside of the composition.
